Yeah everyone has jumped on the double seer & max gutter runner bandwaggon.  Neil Peckett tried it out at a recent tournament up our way.  He said it was the most boring army he'd ever played and would never run it again.  I played him in game 5 of that and he was bricking it the whole game untill he lucked out with a duoof 6's from 3 hits with his bsb to kill a sphinx that had stomped his general grey seer, a warlock engineer and was lining up his bsb for that rounds worth of attacks.

1 sphinx & 4 snakes chewed a unit of slaves down to 3 ranks in a single round of combat from 35 strong without even popping the flame breath 28 attacks hitting on 3's wounding on 2's and a thunderstom plus 4 normal stomps rips up slaves horribly.  He was a tad worried after that point as the list literally had zero combat punch so was just a race to see if I could get his stuff before he got enough 6's on me

It is symptematic of all that is wrong in the 8th meta at the moment, simply relying on special slot spam and magic.... :endit:

Approaching the end of my TM skaven list. Here's 3 'rat darts'

And the compulsory 3 warlocks, grey seer and BSB.

Once this is done just need to finish the WLC and I've got the utterly TM skaven list complete and can move onto adding fun parts to it.

Got the WLC finished off last night

And here's the pics of the whole lot painted to date, basically 2400pts on the nose, but a couple of extra models here and there.

Stand further away and zoom in?  I was about 1.5-2m away from the nearest model when I took those shots.  Plus having a decent wide lens 28mm camera helps.

Update 43 – Wednesday 8th February 2012: I’m Coming Out – Scores 54 on a Triple Word Score!

And now for something completely different!

I’m having a baby. I’m dumping my girlfriend. A pet died in my care. I’m ginger. I have an unnatural love for royal correspondent Nicholas Witchell. What do all those sentences have in common? That’s right they can be quite difficult to tell your nearest and dearest.

pps. I'm not actually but did it feel supportive?     I'll do my own big announcement thing about something entirely unrelated and not on your list of stuff above in anyway in a couple of months, that way it will be less like I'm trying to steal your thunder.

Had to go digging back through 'Procrastination by numbers to find this one.

But for those who are wondering I have an announcement...  No I'm not gay and finally coming to terms with it a month and a half later, but I have been working on a new project.  No pics of this one yet, well a couple but not on the internet, but it should be unveiled in around 6 months time.

For those of you bored of the tedious cryptic half clues the answer is in Matt's opening paragraph, 'I'm having a baby'.  Yup my carefree, or more importantly careDave, days are over and I'm due to become a parent later in the year.  How scary is that!  3 month scan has just been carried out and confirmed it is indeed true; I have supersperm.   :2nd: (yes that's a 2nd place trophy, when it's sexing you're talking about it's always best to come second...)

So guess I'd best get cracking, only 6 months of total freedom left and still only at 5 armies painted, not sure I can fit 11 more in that time!

Oh and for those wondering yes I'm incredibly happy about this

Grats mate! Now i guess the great question is: Does this mean youll have more or less time to paint?
There is no problem in life that can't be solved with Heroic Killing Blow:
Plague Furnace, Abomination, Hydra, Wyvern, Arachnarok, Engine of the Gods, Zombie Dragon, Vargulf, Hellcannon. To be continued...

If we assume that there are infinite universes, then in at least one of them, I'm banging Emma Watson. Awesome!

Wow! I feel strangely prophetic!

Had to go digging back through 'Procrastination by numbers to find this one.

Apologies for that, always a torturous experience!

Congratulations on proving you are definitely not gay!

Great news, maybe your painting plog can now be about what colour you are going to paint the nursery....

Dave will most likely speed paint the nursery with dip, it'll be done in an afternoon!
